MISHA PATEL


owner & lead instructor

Misha is a fully certified Stott Pilates, TRX Sports Medicine, and Z-Health trainer providing intelligent application of movement for clinical rehab to athletic performance. Hence, in addition to offering classes to the general public, professional athletes, expecting and new mothers, young adults, and active seniors, Misha welcomes clients with neurological disorders, concussion therapy, auto-immune concerns, cancer rehab, and more. Additionally, Misha has extensive experience in training clients who have herniated or bulged disc, spinal fusions, neck trauma, rotator cuff injuries, ligamental injuries, carpal tunnel, meniscal tears, breast surgery, scoliosis, separated abdominals, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, TMJ, biceps tendinopathy, frozen shoulder, tennis and golfer elbow, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, and neuropathy.

Misha's instruction is heavily influenced by her understanding of human anatomy, kinesiology, and applied neurology, which enables her to aid each of her clients achieve individual goals in a healthy, appropriate, and proactive manner.

As an accomplished dancer, figure skater, and choreographer, Misha has spoken at several national and international conventions about injury prevention and the importance of strength and flexibility to that end. In 2018, she became one of the few fitness professionals to ever be named to Silicon Valley’s Top 40 Under 40 by Silicon Valley Business Journal. Misha holds a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts, Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, Marketing from Santa Clara University.


Paula Anderson

Paula is a nationally certified Pilates teacher, formally the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA), and a graduate of Polestar Pilates comprehensive 500-hour Pilates post-rehabilitation training. In addition, Paula is an Advanced Certified Pilates Suspension Method Instructor and a certified CoreAlign trainer, having been trained by the inventor of CoreAlign, Jonathan Hoffman.

A former competitive body builder, she has been a personal training in the central coast since 1987 and has been teaching Pilates since 1999. Paula owned her own successful studio for 18 years, before coming to Central Core.

At Central Core, Paula specializes in Pilates, gait training, and osteoporosis management. Paula is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, with a Master's degree in Kinesiology with a specialty in Wellness Management.


Rachel Lowe

Rachel first discovered Pilates in 2009, experiencing the benefits as a dental hygienist. With a passion for movement, an eye for detail, and the ability to reassure anxious clients, Rachel made a switch from dental hygiene to Pilates in 2023, after excelling in completion of Central Core's rigorous Mentorship Program.

Rachel's athletic-based approach pulls from her vast knowledge of other modalities including HIIT, weight training, Lagree, and running. She specializes in designing group and individual sculpt, circuit training, weight training, high-intensity interval training, and injury preventative workouts that are tailored to each individual’s specific abilities, injuries, and goals.
